outfit phone
Chloe walked down the street as the soft snow fall fell around her and dusted the side walk. It was the first snowfall of the year and boy was she glad it had finally came. Chloe loved the snow. She loved after the snowfall how everything looked so peaceful and well white. Walking down the street today reminded her of when she was about five and she and her siblings walked out of the house for the first snowfall of the year and the first thing Faris and Jory did was pelt chloe and her sisters with snowballs. She also remembered the one year that their father had helped them each build their own snowmen and they had a mini contest to see who's was the best.
Chloe smiled to herself thinking of her family and the good times when they were young just as her phone vibrated in her purse. She neared the door of Starbucks and walked in as she turned to her purse and dug trying to find her phone. She found it as it was still vibrating and she saw that it was a new text message. She flipped her phone open to see that it was a text from Selene. When Chloe opened it and read it, she let out a soft laugh. Selene had asked if she wanted to go shopping with her and the twins. Chloe quickly texted her back saying that of course she wants to go shopping later. Chloe closed her phone and held it in her hand as she walked to the end of the line and waited her turn to order.

Andrew was on his way to drop his sister off at the babysitter's house, because she was too young to be left on her own at the house. She was also too young to go with his new mom and sisters, Mackenzee and Katelynne, because they were going off for some spa ritual thing and the little one would just get in the way. On the way to the babysitter's house, Andrew stopped at Starbucks, because he wanted a frappachino, something his fairly new sister Mackenzee had addicted him too. When he pulled into the parking lot and parked the car, he got out and got Netta out of her car seat and then went inside with her. He let Netta walk on her own, but opened the door for her since she was too small to open it herself. "Netta, don't run off," he said to her. Netta had often been claimed as his own child, instead of his adopted sister, because they seemed to strike an uncanny resemblance to each other.

Chloe's thoughts of what she was going to buy when she went shopping with her sisters later today were interrupted by a male voice telling someone named Netta not to run off. Chloe peeked over her shoulder carefully as she saw a kid from her school that she recognized as the lacrosse captain with a little girl by his side. Did he have a kid? She didn't think so. It wasn't really a cool thing to have kids at a young age in that school. Chloe wouldn't want kids at her age. It wouldn't be right. But as she glanced at him, she realized that the little girl was probably his sister. It's very possible isn't it?
She turned her attention back to the line as she stepped forward to keep up with the line as another person was served and walked away. Chloe glanced up to the menu with her eyes as her phone vibrated in her hand again. She smiled as she opened her phone, read the text from Selene once again and texted back telling her that she was in Starbucks and would meet up with them in an hour or so. Closing her phone, the darn thing dropped onto the floor and slid on the waxed floor away from her a bit. Why did that phone always do that? She sighed as she started to walk over to her phone to pick it up.

As Andrew stepped into the line at the very end of it, he figured that it was going to be a bit before he would be able to get out of the coffee shop. Netta stood close to him, but would venture off a little bit and take a few steps around the vicinity, which Andy didn't mind much. It was just as long as she was close enough to grab if need be, just in case if something happened. That's when Andy saw someone's phone fall to the ground and slid a bit, landing pretty close to Netta's feet. "Watch Netta, don't step on it," he said, watching as the little girl picked it up instead. "Hand it over Netta," he said, bending down a bit. "No," was the response he got from her. Instead, the little girl had a mind of her own and walked over to the girl that had dropped it. "Here," little Netta had said to the girl, handing it over to her. Once Antonetta had given the phone back, she got all giggly and ran back to her brother and begged to be picked up, so of course Andy picked his little sister up.

Chloe watched as the little girl almost stepped on her phone and Chloe felt her breath get caught in her chest. Then the little girl picked it up and when her brother told her to hand it over to him, she had said no. Chloe's first thought was that the little girl was going to try and keep the phone for herself like most young children would.
However, when she came over to Chloe and handed her the phone with giggles, Chloe couldn't help but smile and say thank you as the little girl ran back to her brother and he picked her up. Chloe was a few people in front of them so she looked to the brother and nodded her head with an understanding smile on her lips as she turned around and moved another few inches forward with the line.
Chloe felt her phone vibrate again in her hand and she smiled even bigger this time as she opened her phone and read the text. This one wasn't from Selene. It was from Corrine, asking impatiently for Chloe to hurry up and get her butt home so they could carpool to the mall. Chloe texted her back telling her to be polite or there wouldn't be a female Madison shopping spree today.

When the girl nodded her head at Andy, he nodded and threw a half smile in her direction. It wasn't often that he flashed one of those smiles, because it wasn't really necessary for him too. He had a bunch of other smiles that he flashed out at people, but this one was one of the ones that seemed to be hanging on a hanger in the back of a closet. "Netta, you want hot chocolate?" Andy asked his little sister. The little girl quickly nodded her head up and down and threw her arms around Andy's neck. "You can't tell mommy though, she won't be happy about it. You already had some today. This is our little secret," he said, putting his finger over his lips ans shushing softly. Antonetta soon followed suit and put her little index finger over her lips and shushed at Andy. "You're too cute," he said to her. "I guess I'm lucky that you're my little sister, aren't I?" he questioned.

Chloe heard the boy talk to his sister, however faint it was because of the soft music playing in the cafe, the murmur of others and the noises from the cappuccino machines. She smiled to herself remembering when Jory used to be like that with her. He was always protecting her and giving her treats when their mother had told them not to. Chloe loved her siblings and they were extremely close even though Jory and Faris were off traveling. They had tried to go to college but Vegas seemed to be more important to them. So off they went to Vegas and beyond.
Chloe stepped up to the counter as it was now her time to order what she wanted. She glanced up at the menu for a moment then looked back down to the girl on the opposite side of the counter. "Could I have a coffee with extra french vanilla creamer and sugar?" she asked and the girl punched it into the register. The girl then asked if Chloe would like anything else. "Um, could I have an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese?" she asked and the girl punched it into the register again. The girl asked if that was all and Chloe nodded her head. Chloe was told the amount that her bagel and coffee cost and she dug in her purse for her wallet. Pulling it out, she unlatched it and took out a ten dollar bill, paid the girl, got the change, put it back into her wallet and stepped off to the side as she put her wallet back into her purse.
