He could hear her stomach growling and could tell, she needed some food.
He would minimize iTunes on the screen as he came to a stoplight. Pulling up the internet explorer he typed with one hand the word Oriental Food into Google. It brought up a map of the local area.
" We are going to a place called Benihanas." He looked to her." I'm buying." He winked. Bringing back up iTunes he would lean back and shift into 1st, skipping 2nd, and quickly going into 3rd.
" Let me show you what this baby can do." Yes he was going to show off his car. So what?
He would stomp onto the gas and the tires squeeled loudly as he shifted once again, now in 5th.
Within seconds the speedometer was climbing past 75 mph and increasing.

Juli felt the car lurch forward as he continued to shift. She reacted by impulse by putting her hands on the bottom of the seat on either side of her legs and braced herself for if and when something happened. Juli wasn't one for going fast, but she looked to him and smiled as he looked as if he was having fun anyways. She wasn't going to rain on his parade. She continued to stay quiet. She didn't look tensed. It simply looked as though she was putting her hands next to her just to get more comfortable. If he would have suspected she was nervous, she would feel extremely bad.
When the song ended, she hoped that they were almost there. Her stomach was actually starting to hurt from growling. She looked to him before the next song would start up. "We almost there?" she asked with a cute smile and a light chuckle as her stomach growled again.

He would slow down a bit, not wanting to scare her at all. He was now going the speed limit. It was pretty cold, and well he had to turn some heat on because what she was wearing didn't look to warm. Reaching to the Heater knobs he would turn it on so it would keep them warm, but not HOT.
The restaurant came into view. It was one of those Oriental Restaurants where they cook right on the table and make you eat with chop sticks. The GT500KR pulled into the parking lot and he would come to a rolling stop into a parking space beside a Mercedes and a large Ford Truck. Putting the vehicle into N he would engage the parking brake.
Reaching to the radio he would press a button and the screen would slowly retract back into the dashboard and bu t nothing but a flat surface now. Turning the ignition off, the loud engine would die down. Pulling the keys out he would press a button on the alarm remote. Her door would swing open and he smiled.
" I know its cheesy, but it just installed that." He chuckled as he would open his own door and step out. Closing his door he would move to the front door of the restaurant and wait for her. Activating the alarm after she closed her side door of coarse.

Juli watched as he slowed down a bit and turned on some heat. She was fine. Her body had adjusted to the cool air outside a few months ago but she let him turn some heat on anyways. It was always better to be warm rather than cold. She smiled as he pulled into a parking spot and turned off the car. She giggled lightly when he said something about just having the screen installed. She shrugged meaning that it was cool either way and she unbuckled as he got out and waited for her by the front of the restaurant.
She got out of the car just as he pushed the button to set the alarm. She heard the light beep and closed the door to the car. She adjusted her purse on her shoulder as she walked up to him and smiled at him. She looked up and him and kissed his cheek lightly. "Thanks for the ride," she said sweetly. "But you're not paying," she said with a slight grin appearing on her lips as she walked past him and to the door of the restaurant.

He shook his head as he walked in behind her. Noting that she had well, a very nice behind. It wasn't to big, or to flat, but just right it seemed. Thats the way he liked it anyway. He would shake his head once again as he would walk up behind her." No way you are paying for this." He said and smiled." I know these kinds of places... And they give free meals to happy couples." He winked and reached down grabbing her hand.
Lacing their fingers together he approached the Host's podium." Hello, Table for two please. We would like to sit alone. Its our 2 year anniversary." He smiled handsomely and looked over at her. Winking once again out of sight, so only she could see.
The lady smiled and said in her broken english." Aww... Soo cute... Okie dokie, we set you up with private table in back... Very nice... Also, meal free.." She said with a warm smile. Ian just smiled." Thank you very much." He nodded and bowed a bit showing some respect to her and the culture. She would bow and nod picking up two menus." This way please..." She would walk quickly to the back.
Ian was pulling her along, still holding her hand.
The lady pulled back a curtain." Here you go, chef be with you very shortly." She smiled. It was a smaller table just made for two to sit beside each other to face the grill on the table that the cook would prepare and make their food on.
She set down the menus and walked away, closing the curtain. Ian, would pull out a chair for her after releasing her hand. He smiled handsomely. He always minded his manors.

Juli watched him greet the woman as he took her hand. She felt her cheeks blush when he told the waitress that it was their two year anniversary. Juli tried her hardest to act cute to make it more believable but it was hard since Ian and her were not a couple and there was no way she was planning on them becoming a couple. She let him lead her as he followed the waitress to a back table concealed by a curtain. When the waitress walked away after placing down their menus, Juli took the seat that Ian was holding for her and she sat down in it as he pushed it in a bit for her.
She watched him as he walked around to sit beside her and they both faced the grill. She looked to him and smiled sweetly. "So is this what you do with every girl? Bring them here so you can get free food?" she asked, raising her eyebrows a bit and giving a slight half grin half frown to him. Juli would hate to be just another girl that he was hitting on. She absolutely hated guys like that.

When she spoke as he sat he would sigh. Knowing she was going to say that he would turn his head and look to her." No actually..." He would sigh again and look down." Im not like that sorry..." He looked up and took the menu.
" Your acting like you didn't want to come... So why didn't you object when I told you we where going to dinner?" He said, scanning over the menu as he opened it. He turned to look at her and then just looked into her eyes. No smile nothing, he just looked deep into her eyes, wa nting to know what she was thinking.

Juli bit her lip and picked up her own menu and kept her eyes away from his. She had made a fool of herself. "Sorry," she mumbled before looking to him after a few more moments of silence. "I just get suspicious when guys are nice to me," she said sorrowfully as she looked down to her menu again. Her eyes scanned making it look like she was reading but she wasn't. She had pissed him off and she could tell. She bit her lower lip this time but a bit too hard for it started to bleed lightly.
Putting down her menu, she put her finger to her lip and held it there to stop the bleeding. She held it there, staring down at her menu but not picking it up. She didn't want to look at him. She didn't want to see in his eyes how much he hated her right now for making that assumption about him.

He was not mad. Not one bit. He was just, a bit frustrated. The only REAL friend, he actually made after moving here, was accusing him of being a senseless asshole jock? He would take a deep breath, and then hear someone approach.
The curtain was drawn back and the same woman came." Im sorry I forgot to take drink order." She smiled and bowed a bit. " Its okay... I'll have a glass of Iced Tea please." He smiled and the woman would look to Julianne." And for you?" Said the lady with a sweet, warm smile.
She would leave the two to their privacy after Julianne ordered her drink. Ian would take a deep breath and close his menu. " Look, I wanna get this straight... Im not mad... I kn ow your mad at me. But It doesn't matter. Im not like the guys around here... Im an actual loyal friend. Very loyal. I don't lie, I don't steal, cheat, fight, scream, yell, and certainly don't hide any secrets. Unless told otherwise." He took a deep breath after he spoke all of it, relieved to have breathed now.

Juli looked to him apologetically. She shouldn't have assumed anything about him. Why was she like that? Maybe it was her clique, but her only friend was Mac and Mac most certainly was not like that. When the same waitress came over and pulled back the curtain, Juli put on a smile as Ian ordered his drink. "Um just an ice water please," she told the lady before she walked away again. Juli always ordered an ice water. She was afraid to order anything else because she didn't want to drink it all before her food came. It was something her parents had brought her up on.
She looked to him after the lady was gone and the curtain put back just as he started to speak again. Her eyes blinked heavily with light tears ready to form. She took a deep breath in, sat up straighter and leaned in towards him. She put her hand on his face lightly and made his face look at her. "I know you're not. I'm sorry. I want to be your friend," she said looking into his eyes. She sat back without kissing him at all. God knows that was exactly was going through her mind, that she wanted to kiss him, but she knew that would make things awkward.
She picked up her menu and looked at it. "So what are you getting?" she asked, still looking through her menu.

He would listen to her. His cheeks began to flush as she touched his face. No girl has ever touched him like that before. No girl has ever showed compassion like that. God he wanted to kiss her bad. He actually drew his lips in and bit them then released. He took a deep breath. Just as he was about to kiss her, she turned away.
He swallowed hard. Ow, that hurt. Looking back to his menu he took in a deep breath. the lady would appear again, giving them drinks and then the cook soon arrived, and waited for their orders. He began to prepare certain ingredients and such, waiting for them.
He looked to her and smiled." I'll have the Grilled Teryaki Chicken and Shrimp, with White Rice. Please." He said as he handed the menu to the cook. The man took the menu, placed it aside and began to cook away.
Ian watched her. Such beauty. She was so adorable. So short, so small and petite. He just wanted to pick her up, and carry her around with one arm. He waited patiently. Watching her some as she would examine her menu.
God he couldn't wait to kiss those beautiful, supple lips.

Juli kept her eyes on her menu until the chef came around. She hard Ian's order and watched as the chef expertly started to cook it. It smelt delicious already and the only thing he was cooking up was the oil they put down to keep things from sticking the grill. She laughed a bit as the chef played around and started to throw some rice at her. She had only been to this kind of restaurant once before when she was little. She didn't remember much from that trip except for the way that the chef was doing tricks with the food much like this chef was.
He asked what Juli would like and she smiled at him. "I'll just have the same since it smells delicious," she said closing her menu and looking to Ian. She saw the way that he was looking at her and she felt her cheeks flush slightly. "What?" she asked him quietly with a sweet smile forming on her lips.

He would shake his head. " Nothing." He said as he would watch the man who cooked quickly, but patiently it seemed. His arms folded over each other. His eyes watching the food, moving around the grill, and the mans hands as they worked the tools to cool their food.
He was watching the man, and also thinking of what she was thinking about. He was also considering this as a date. God he hoped she considered this as a date too.
He scratched his bare arm and just took in a deep breath as he would just cover his mouth in a yawn. Yes he was tired, and very sore from hockey practice.
Looking down to the food, the man was now putting their food onto their plates.
When he was finished he would bow and turn the grill off and said." Enjoy."
Picking up the chopsticks, he would begin to eat silently. Hopefully she knew how to eat with chopsticks.

Juli watched as the cook finished up their food, cooled it down a bit, put it on their plates and then bow and walk away. Juli looked down the food. It was still steaming but it smelt oh so delicious that her stomach growled once again. She giggled as she picked up her chopsticks and placed them in her fingers. She clasped them a few times to get used to using them again. The last time she had used them was when she was little and her grandfather, who had fought in Vietnam, showed her how to use them. She smiled as she looked to Ian. He was quiet now. God, what now? She wanted to know what was wrong but she was too hungry to bother to ask. She looked back down to her food and began to eat it.
fast forward a few minutes
Juli placed her chopsticks down on her now empty plate. There were only a few stray grains of rice and a piece of chicken left. She had eaten it all which was odd since she didn't like to eat that much normally. She sat back in her chair and placed her hands on her stomach. She sighed deeply before looking to Ian. "That was so good," she said smiling brightly at him. Sitting up, she leaned forward and kissed his cheek lightly. "Thank you for taking me here," she said, hesitating on whether or not to thank him for this date. She wasn't sure if he considered it a date though.

He would wipe his mouth with the napkin from his lap and smile at her as he picked up his glass of iced tea. Picking it up to his lips he would take a long sip.
He would nod. " Yeah, this was my first date in this town." He winked and stood up placing his napkin on the table. He would push his seat in as he stood up and smiled.'' C'mon. Since its free we can just leave." He would wink.
He knew she would follow for at least one reason. He was her ride. He began to leave the restaurant. Making it to the front door he would wait for her.
